It’s been crazy weather up here in Denver, Colorado, with deep snow, glorious sunshine and torrential rain all in the course of four or five days. A lot of our time in Denver has been spent planning our road-trip, which we leave for tomorrow and on setting up another website, blog, photo gallery. During the road-trip we hope to be taking a lot of pictures and I’ll do my best to get pictures onto Flickr and make some blog entries here. Claude and I hope to be blogging to the new site also and once it goes live there may be entries that appear on both sites.
Since we will be spending the majority of our time camping, access to wireless will be fairly limited but we will be writing blog posts off-line and throwing them up to the sites once we get into civilisation. We fly out to San Francisco in the morning and spend three nights in the Fisherman’s Wharf area before picking up our van. It’s not a full size RV, it’s a Dodge van (or similar) with a mattress and fridge inside. Slightly better than having to pitch a tent every-night but not as cumbersome as and RV. So, basically we’ll be slumming it. We leave San Francisco and head north to the wine regions of Napa and Sonama. After that its South along the coast to Monterey and eventually into Las Vegas and a couple of nights in a hotel. I’ll keep the rest of the route under wraps for now, and all being well you’ll see the whole journey unfold here and on Flickr.
Right now I better go and finish packing, I still have a lot to do.
